We have talked a lot about green juice, so I introduce you now to the Green Soup. That’s right! Your dinner also gets a special color with this tip from Dra. Larissa Cohen, a nutritionist who holds a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Functional Nutrition.
This soup is green because it is made with a greater quantity and variety of green leaves. Do you remember those foods that, because your everyday routines are left aside since they require frequent buying and proper hygiene? Well, now they will end up in the soup, which according to nutritionist Larissa Cohen, can be considered a detox food because it has many minerals and vitamins that are involved in the formation of enzymes that are able to assist in the detoxification of the body.
Besides that, the Green Soup also helps in preventing and controlling iron deficiency anaemia due to iron and folic acid deficiencies.
This soup can be consumed by anyone without restrictions. Only those who are using anticoagulant medications should seek medical advice.
The most common ingredients in this soup are: cabbage, spinach, broccoli, basella, celery, onion, and leek, choko (chayote) etc. And it can include a protein such as chicken breast or muscle meats as well.
Now comes something interesting: for a more anti-inflammatory action, you can add a little green tea at the end. But, for those with sensitivity to green tea, this should be avoided.
It’s a simple soup, easy to make, and can be part of the menu of those who want to lose weight. Let’s see Dra. Larissa Cohen’s recipe:
